Prayer for the Feast of the Innocents

Lord our God, as we continue to celebrate the birth of your Son, may we remember all the innocent victims of war, abuse, and violence in our world. Hear their prayers and comfort them with your grace. Make us vehicles for healing, justice and reconciliation for all victims who suffer due to human injustice. Foster and convict those in authority that they may lay down their arms of violence and war which cause distress and pain for their peoples. Have mercy on us all, this we pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen
